Cut Quality
Diamonds of premium cut are almost as good as ideal. While nature determines the color and clarity of a stone, diamond cut is dependent solely upon the skill of the cutter. Premium cut diamonds may be close to the ideal cut proportions and look just identical. Most people cannot distinguish between the two. However, there is a slight difference in quality and reduction in price over ideal cut diamonds.

Color
In the near colorless category H color grade is the second best. Most H color diamonds have a very light yellow or gray tint that may be more noticeable when the diamond is placed on a white surface. Diamonds with H color grade appear white and are great values because they are more plentiful and as a result less expensive.

Clarity
The stones of SI2 clarity have inclusions which are fairly easy to see under a loupe with 10X power magnification. Such inclusions may be visible to an unaided eye depending on their location. SI2 clarity diamonds of G or H color look nearly perfect when mounted. For those looking for near perfection these sure come close.
