For example, an emerald cut diamond that is in a very long shape will look very different from one that is more squarish; a broad shouldered pear shape might look too triangular for the hand, while one with softer, more rounded shoulders might be just what what you want. Even with an everyday item, you can create a fashion trend that will set off waves among your peers. All corundum (aluminium oxides) that is not red is called sapphire.

Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality Diamonds of premium cut are almost as good as ideal. While nature determines the color and clarity of a stone, diamond cut is dependent solely upon the skill of the cutter. Premium cut diamonds may be close to the ideal cut proportions and look just identical. Most people cannot distinguish between the two. However, there is a slight difference in quality and reduction in price over ideal cut diamonds.
Color Trained people can see yellow in a J color diamond pretty easily. You can also do this by placing the diamonds upside down on a white piece of paper and looking at them from the side. J-color diamonds offer an excellent trade off for price and quality - excellent choice for the budget conscious.
Clarity VVS2 diamonds have very very small inclusions which, when viewed under 10X magnification by an expert, are difficult to be seen. The inclusions should be light colored. The features of the VVS2 clarity grade are exceptionally difficult to discern. Diamonds of this clarity appear to be perfect to an unaided eye.
