The availability and widespread use of these reports can, when properly understood, enable even those without professional skills to make valid comparison between several diamonds and more informed buying decisions. My grandmother's earliest memory is of watching the sun's rays dance off the face of the beautiful antique bracelet, as her mother rocked back and forth in her old rocking chair in her small village. But the origins of that antique bracelet, that the one amethyst bracelet, predated her by quite a bit as well.

Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality The ideal cut diamond is a very precise mathematical equation, where diamond proportions and angles are cut to optimize the diamond's superlative optical properties, in particular it's high refractive index and color dispersion, to create a diamond of unequaled beauty with perfect balance of brilliance and fire. In layman's terms, the diamond is cut to make it the most beautiful diamond so it retains its intrinsic value.
Color J color diamonds are more or less colorless. J color will be slightly detectable to the experienced eye. When cut to ideal proportions, the diamond will produce a warm intensity. This diamond is an excellent value for the budget conscious. J-color diamonds are the least expensive of the near-colorless grades.
Clarity VVS2 diamonds have very very small inclusions which, when viewed under 10X magnification by an expert, are difficult to be seen. The inclusions should be light colored. The features of the VVS2 clarity grade are exceptionally difficult to discern. Diamonds of this clarity appear to be perfect to an unaided eye.
