In colored gems, the perfection of the cut is not as important as it is with diamonds, but proportioning remains critical because it will significantly affect the depth of color as well as the stone's brilliance and liveliness. To get an idea of the different styles and prices that are available in Christian jewelry it is more convenient to view them online before shopping around at local jewelry stores. Retail jewelers will sometimes carry a small selection of Christian jewelry, but you are more apt to find a greater selection online.
Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality We determine the cut quality based on simplified formulas that take into account diamond's depth, table and proportions. If some of this information is not available we are unable to estimate the quality of the diamond's cut.
Color When mounted, G color grade diamonds will appear colorless except to the trained eye. G color may be noticeable when compared to diamonds of better grades. Diamonds of G color grade offer excellent value. For an excellent value in a diamond with no noticeable color to the unaided eye, G color diamond is the right choice.
Clarity Diamonds of SI3 clarity are on a borderline between slightly included and included diamonds. SI3 grade inclusions are almost obvious under 10x magnification. Inclusions in such diamonds may be noticeable to the unaided eye. However, when observing the diamond "face up" as it is mounted in a ring, the inclusions are usually not visible.
