Cut Quality
Ideal cut refers to the angles and proportions of a diamond that satisfy very precise mathematical formulas. The result is that the the ideal cut diamond internally reflects most light from one mirror-like facet to another and disperse and reflect it through the top of the stone. This results in a display of brilliance and fire, thereby placing ideal-cut diamonds higher on the quality pyramid than deep or shallow-cut diamonds.

Color
Trained people can see yellow in a J color diamond pretty easily. You can also do this by placing the diamonds upside down on a white piece of paper and looking at them from the side. J-color diamonds offer an excellent trade off for price and quality - excellent choice for the budget conscious.

Clarity
Diamonds of VS2 clarity have very small inclusions grade two. Inclusions VS2 diamonds are somewhat easy for a skilled grader to locate under 10x magnification. Diamonds that are graded VS in clarity are still very impressive looking diamonds under a microscope. Of course nothing is visible at all to the human eye. Such diamonds have a great balance between good clarity and exceptional price.
