	The union in 1477 was celebrated by the exchange of a diamond betrothal ring which would have been an early example and perhaps the first royal one. Easy and relaxed generally seems to be the theme this year, even amongst the big names in fashion. Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond

Cut Quality
Diamonds of premium cut are almost as good as ideal. While nature determines the color and clarity of a stone, diamond cut is dependent solely upon the skill of the cutter. Premium cut diamonds may be close to the ideal cut proportions and look just identical. Most people cannot distinguish between the two. However, there is a slight difference in quality and reduction in price over ideal cut diamonds.

Color
An E color diamond is extremely rare and slightly less expensive than a D but is so similar that most people won’t be able to tell the difference. You pay a serious premium for an E color diamond. Diamonds of this color grade will appear colorless even when observed face down.

Clarity
Inclusions and external blemishes in diamonds of SI1 clarity may be easy to spot under 10X power magnification. Location of the inclusions greatly affect their visibility to the naked eye. SI1 diamonds of good color produce as good of a sparkle as the more expansive VS graded stones of lower color. Excellent bargains may be fond in this category.
