Colour - Contrary to popular belief the diamond is not truly colourless. For example, a grandmother's ruby ring gets passed down to her daughter, who has the ruby incorporated into her sapphire pendant, and then the granddaughter inherits a ruby/sapphire pendant upon her mother's death. Heirloom jewelry is the way to begin a tradition that becomes cherished and more meaningful through the ages.

Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality The ideal cut diamond is a very precise mathematical equation, where diamond proportions and angles are cut to optimize the diamond's superlative optical properties, in particular it's high refractive index and color dispersion, to create a diamond of unequaled beauty with perfect balance of brilliance and fire. In layman's terms, the diamond is cut to make it the most beautiful diamond so it retains its intrinsic value.
Color Diamonds of F color are very close to colorless. Very small percentage of natural diamonds fall into this category. Even a trained professional will not be able to detect presence of color without instrumentation.
Clarity VS2 Clarity diamonds are very slightly included grade two. VS2 diamonds have minor inclusions that are visible at 10x magnification. They are less expensive than the VS1 clarity grade because they exhibit slightly more inclusions. VS2 clarity diamonds make excellent choices for jewelry because the naked eye will not be able to detect any inclusions.
