Cut Quality
Diamonds of fair cut quality are still quite attractive, but they may not be as brilliant as the top 3 grades. Fair cut diamonds are proportioned to yield more carat weight from the diamond rough. Such diamonds may be attractive to budget-conscious customers.

Color
In the near colorless category H color grade is the second best. Most H color diamonds have a very light yellow or gray tint that may be more noticeable when the diamond is placed on a white surface. Diamonds with H color grade appear white and are great values because they are more plentiful and as a result less expensive.

Clarity
Inclusions and external blemishes in diamonds of SI1 clarity may be easy to spot under 10X power magnification. Location of the inclusions greatly affect their visibility to the naked eye. SI1 diamonds of good color produce as good of a sparkle as the more expansive VS graded stones of lower color. Excellent bargains may be fond in this category.
