There are a couple of non profit certification systems (GIA and AGS) which rate diamonds on a scale from Ideal to Poor. Personalized wedding gifts make a unique personal statement of their own. Signature ceramic platters which the guests can sign, or twin crystal glasses, candlesticks or wine glasses with the couple's names engraved or etched on them are memorable mementos for a wedding couple, to showcase with pride forever.

Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality Diamonds of premium cut are almost as good as ideal. While nature determines the color and clarity of a stone, diamond cut is dependent solely upon the skill of the cutter. Premium cut diamonds may be close to the ideal cut proportions and look just identical. Most people cannot distinguish between the two. However, there is a slight difference in quality and reduction in price over ideal cut diamonds.
Color J is the last letter that constitutes the near colorless range. Presence of yellow or brown tint may be noticeable to a non-professional. When mounted in yellow gold setting, such diamonds will appear colorless to the most people. J color diamond is a good buy for budget conscious.
Clarity Diamonds of VS2 clarity have very small inclusions grade two. Inclusions VS2 diamonds are somewhat easy for a skilled grader to locate under 10x magnification. Diamonds that are graded VS in clarity are still very impressive looking diamonds under a microscope. Of course nothing is visible at all to the human eye. Such diamonds have a great balance between good clarity and exceptional price.
